How do I know if my car is a total loss or write-off?
If your car has sustained severe damage after an accident, it may be considered a total loss or write-off.
Additionally, if the estimated cost of repairs to your car exceeds its current worth, this would be a total loss too.
An appraiser will complete an estimate for the repairs to determine the value of your car at the time of the accident.
