Customer Help & Support

What is a base plan and a supplemental plan?

Base plan means your annual multi-trip coverage. It refers to an unlimited number of trips outside your province or territory of residence, as long as each individual trip does not exceed the number of days indicated in your policy. You do not need to advise us of exact trip dates.

Supplemental plan means a single trip longer than your base plan up to the maximum number of days allowed under your province or territory health insurance plan, and it includes the base plan. You are required to provide a departure and a return date for your trip.
