The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador announced that retail sales tax will be eliminated from personal property policies with effective dates between April 7, 2022, and April 6, 2023. What does this mean for my policy?
We are currently working with the government to be fully compliant as fast as we can and to address any RST overpayment that may be collected until system changes can be fully implemented, both for new policies and for renewals, including the ones that have already been issued to customers as soon as possible.
