Does my government health plan cover me while travelling within Canada but out of my province of residence?

Government health insurance plans have limits on the reimbursement of emergency medical expenses incurred while travelling in another province. For example, air and ground ambulance costs and emergency dental treatment may not be covered outside your province of residence. For maximum protection, you may wish to purchase additional medical coverage even while travelling within Canada. For further information on government health insurance plans, please visit the Health Canada website.
